Rose Rock Realty is committed to equal housing opportunity. We do business in accordance with the Federal Fair Housing Act (Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended) and the Oklahoma Discrimination in Housing law.

We do not discriminate, and we will not assist any client in discriminating, on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap (disability), familial status, or national origin in the sale, rental, financing, or advertising of housing. This applies to every service we offer, including our rent-to-own homes.

What this means in practice

• We will not steer you toward or away from a neighbourhood on the basis of any protected characteristic. If you ask us which areas have particular demographics, we will decline to answer and point you to public census data instead — not because we are being difficult, but because steering is illegal and harmful.
• We will not accept instructions from a seller or a landlord to exclude a protected class, and we will end the engagement if asked to.
• Our rent-to-own applications are assessed on down payment, income, and whether the monthly payment is realistic — not on family status, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
• Our advertising, on this site and elsewhere, is written to describe the property rather than the kind of person we imagine living in it.

If you believe you have been discriminated against

You can file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) at hud.gov/fairhousing or by calling HUD's toll-free line. You may also contact the Oklahoma Attorney General's office. You can do this whether or not you have raised it with us first, and we would rather you raise it with us as well so we can put it right.
